It appears that Oalex Anderson is still with the Sounders organization in some capacity after S2 Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson posted a video to instagram which features the young striker.

In the video the Saint Vincent and Grenadines international looks to be rehabbing his knee while wearing a grey Seattle Sounders warm-up top with the number (39) he wore with the First Team. Currently no S2 or First Team player wears 39.
Anderson was injured during the Sounders’ last practice of the season in the run-up to MLS Cup. At the time the injury sounded serious but there was never any official update from the team on the exact nature of the injury. However, in mid January, Anderson underwent knee surgery in Vail, Colo., the same place Román Torres underwent ACL surgery while with the Sounders. Whatever the injury, the video makes it look as if it will be months before Anderson is playing soccer again.
The Sounders declined to exercise Anderson’s option in the offseason so it is unclear exactly what kind of arrangement the player has with the team. It is also unclear whether the Sounders hope for Anderson to one day play for the team again, or if they are just being decent. It will probably be a while before we know the team’s intentions, but for now it is nice to know Anderson hasn’t been left in the lurch.
