The MLS Cup final rematch against Toronto FC started pretty positively for the Seattle Sounders, but bad luck kept what looked like their opening goal from getting them on the scoresheet. Bad luck (or bad refereeing?) reared its ugly head not long after, when referee Jair Marrufo decided to awarded a penalty to Toronto FC after Jozy Altidore went down in the box while Roman Torres tried to muscle him off the ball.
I suppose it’s a tough call to make, and even though the video doesn’t have a good enough angle to definitively disprove the call...we’ll let you make up your own mind.
