Two ad hoc lineups will enter Starfire Stadium Tuesday night. Both the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers lack the depth to make up for injuries, international duty and fatigue; a total of 20 players were signed from their two USL sides.
Guessing the XI and 18s for this match will be impossible. It also makes assumptions about tactics difficult. The Seattle Sounders only lost a single Open Cup match at Starfire - the Red Card Wedding. S2 has dominated T2 over their short existence; players from both second teams are likely to feature in this match. Seattle is the favorite, but the magic of the Open Cup is such that no team can take any match for granted.
The winner will find out their next opponent on June 15.
Allan Chapman is the center referee.
