With the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup completely in the books, the Seattle Sounders will know their Round of 16 opponent shortly. U.S. Soccer has scheduled the draw for 8 a.m. on Thursday and it will be livestreamed on Facebook.
The Sounders will play one of the Sacramento Republic, LA Galaxy or San Jose Earthquakes. Their opponent, as well as who will host, will be determined in this draw. The match will be played on or around June 28, three days after the Sounders visit the Portland Timbers and about a week before their July 4 game against the Colorado Rapids in league games.

Once this draw is complete, a bracket will be effectively set. If the Sounders win, they’ll play the winner of the other game in their region in the quarterfinals on or near July 11. The region winner will then face the winner of the Central region in the semifinals on or near Aug. 9. That region consists of the Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Sporting Kansas City and Houston Dynamo. The final is scheduled for Sept. 20.
