Major Link Soccer: Cyle Larin arrested and charged with DUI in Orlando

The Sonics Arena Investment Group have released their own financing letter for their SoDo Arena plan, highlighting the lack of public money required to advance their plan compared to the KeyArena proposal.

In very disturbing news, a player in the Whitecaps youth residency program was allegedly sexually assaulted by his teammates following a training session. The Whitecaps were quick to suspend those involved indefinitely and involve the authorities, who have confirmed that two youths have been charged with sexual assault.

Orlando City striker Cyle Larin was arrested and charged with DUI early Thursday morning after he was stopped while driving the wrong direction on a street in Orlando (and did not acquit himself well in the ensuing conversation). Luckily no one was hurt. Larin will presumably miss at least a few games as he completes MLS’ Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program and the internal MLS investigation is completed.

US Soccer

The US Soccer Development Academy will host its Summer Showcase and playoffs from June 20-26 in Westfield, Indiana. The event always draws lots of interest from college and professional team scouts.
