Sounders vs. Portland Timbers, 4th Round US Open Cup; streaming, news, highlights, analysis

Starfire Stadium and the four-time Open Cup champions host Portland at 7:30 PM on June 13.

For the first time since the Red Card Wedding the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers will meet in the US Open Cup. That was one of only two Open Cup wins over the Sounders that the Timbers grabbed from 2005 to the present.

Seattle is 3-2-1 +0 in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup over their biggest rival. Both Starfire Stadium and what is now Providence Park hosted three times. This is only the third meeting with both teams in MLS. Each of the previous meetings while the teams were in MLS went to extra-time. The two teams split 3-1 victories.

The draw for the quarterfinals will be official on June 15.

Streaming for the match will be via US Soccer. KIRO Radio 97.3 FM and El Rey 1360 AM will provide local audio coverage.

Both teams will have limited rosters due to international callups.
