We figured out why Roman Torres keeps wearing shirts with his face on them

If you follow Roman Torres on social media you’ve seen him wear a couple shirts with his own face on them. Torres also has a tattoo of himself raising MLS Cup. It might just be part of who he is, but it’s also more than that.

After Wednesday’s practice Sounder at Heart asked him about the phenomena. It’s all part of his goal to launch his own shirt brand.

“I have them made, because I’m going to come up with my own brand,” Torres told Sounder at Heart as translated by Niko Moreno. “I like almost all of them, but the models that I’ve made I like all of them.”

He told us that he is still two or three months away from launching the project because he wants to have a good business plan, as well as meet necessary regulations. That last part might be difficult as Torres is famous in three different nations, and he wants all of them to be able to buy shirts with his face on them.

“I’m going to promote it and wherever they want to get it, whether it is Colombia or wherever, they will be able to get it. I will promote it through the internet and they will be able to buy it and it will ship. They will get it where they want it.”
