Chances are, you’ve already seen the video of Marshawn Lynch entering the Zakuani & Friends Charity Soccer Match wearing socks and sandles, lumbering down the field, picking up a pass from Eddie Johnson — with his hands — running the ball into the goal, getting red-carded, tossing the red card into the air, kicking the ball away “in protest” and then taking the red card back to Steve Zakuani who signed it. If you haven’t, give it a watch:

Almost as remarkable as the sequence itself, though, is the reaction to it around these world wide webs.
Along with outlets like us, the clip was picked up by the SB Nation mothership, Bleacher Report, ESPN and just about every other sports site with a social-media department. The version of the video posted to the Sounders’ Facebook page has about 500,000 views.
Beyond it being almost literally everywhere, there was no shortage of choice reactions. Here were some of our favorites:
...and now I have the Mario Bros theme song stuck in my head.

Even the Seattle Sounders know to give @MoneyLynch the ball at the goal line

But this may have been the choicest reaction:
Antics like this is why I can't take American soccer seriously.

Although he didn’t quite upstage his in-game appearance, the cameo he made on Marcus Trufant’s Periscope video was possibly even funnier:
This game is legit. Shout if you are here. https://t.co/uU54SfqPAS

Please, please, please don’t ever change.
