Sadly, no real big news at the closing of the transfer window side of things for the Sounders. That being said, I got something else for you to be excited about. Shake Shack is going to Seattle! I hear this is good?

D.C. United have been the busiest of all 22 teams in the league this last week. After trading Lamar Neagle and Bobby Boswell, they announced the signing of Hungarian international winger Zoltan Stieber.

It sounds like US Men’s national team midfielder Paul Arriola is heading to D.C. United as well. If the Washington Post has it right, it’s the most expensive deal in club history.

It’s pretty obvious that nobody on D.C. United’s roster is safe, and captain Steve Birnbaum echoed that sentiment.

The Chicago Fire are in the process of finalizing a trade with the Vancouver Whitecaps for centerback Christian Dean.

FC Dallas announced the signing of midfielder Luis Gonzalez from Venezuela.

Sporting Kansas City will take on the winner of FC Cincinnati/Red Bulls after their 1(5)-1(4) win on Wednesday night in penalties (for those of you who missed it, both Benny Feilhaber and Chris Wondolowski missed their penalties). They will host the final.

The USL is continuing their expansion. With a new soccer specific stadium, Austin, TX is the newest city to be awarded a team. They will begin play in 2019.

Not soccer, but another rally cat invaded a baseball field, this one in St. Louis. When will one come to a MLS match?

Chicharito, who was recently linked to various MLS teams, had some strong words for people dismissing Carlos Vela’s move to MLS.

Speaking of the Premier League, Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho is talking once again. He is “optimistic” after their Super Cup loss but he also took a shot at Cristiano Ronaldo.

A new Premier League season means new Premier League kits. There are just eight different kit makers this season, and Puma leads the way as they make kits for five different clubs this season.

You will also notice something new this season on these kits: sleeve sponsors. I’m not saying anything else.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is demanding more transfers to bring more players to his club.

Former Charlton Athletic midfielder Matt Holland believes that Romelu Lukaku will thrive at Manchester United this season.

After a disappointing 2016-2017 season, Wes Morgan says everyone at Leicester City is “raring to go” and looking to improve on a bad season

Watford have a new striker on their team. They have completed the signing of the former Burnley player for a believed club record $24 million.

Arsenal will be without Alexis Sanchez to begin the season. He will miss the first few weeks of the season with an abdominal injury he picked up in training. Of course, it could also be he came down with a sudden case of the transfers.

The Italian national team have locked up their head coach, Gian Piero Ventura, until 2020.

Mexican international Rafa Marquez has been linked with 22 others in a drug trafficking ring.
