In their first trip to Minnesota since 2008, the Seattle Sounders are poised to continue a multi-game road unbeaten streak. Minnesota United is an average home team that will be without their best attacking player, as well as a few of the defenders that helped them recover from their horrid start.
The Loons tend to offer space to their opponents, defending deep. They also have errors in defending set-pieces. Seattle must take advantage of both of these things. An early set-piece goal should reduce the fouling that often plagues Nicolas Lodeiro, Jordan Morris, and Clint Dempsey. Kevin Molino is still a dangerous force in the attack, but he will lack support.
Absences: Injury, international duty and suspension
Seattle: Osvaldo Alonso is questionable.
Loons: There is a long list of Minnesota players that are out: Anor (L Lower Leg), Burch (Groin), Davis (R Foot), De Villardi (L Achilles), Greenspan (Head), Schuller (L Thigh), and Ramirez (R Hamstring).
Ibson will be suspended for accumulation with just a single yellow card. Tony Alvaro, Collen Warner, Ismaila Jome, Jerome Thiesson, Kevin Molino, Bobby Shuttleworth, and Johan Venegas are two cards from suspension.
