If you race hydroplanes, you likely still need a day job to go with it. In the case of Seafair Champ, Jimmy Shane, it’s at Blue Origin. Racing may be like rocket science, but his job is actually rocket science.

The Reign may have their attendance grow this season, but it is still small compared to where they would like to be. Our own Jacob Cristobal did a deep dive into some ideas as to why and what they can do.

MLS

Our friends up in Vancouver at Eighty Six Forever took an in-depth look at Fredy Montero and his season so far. Should they keep him? Should they move on? Is he their answer or not? I’d say build around him but that’s just me.

LAFC will have to wait a bit longer to get a player to join coach Bob Bradley, as Wesley Sneijder turned down the expansion side’s offer and is joining French side Nice.

Houston joined the list of MLS sides making moves as the end of transfer season nears grabbing Swiss defender Philippe Senderos. The CB last played for Rangers, but only has 28 appearances since joining Aston Villa in 2014.

At their core, sports are about whoever scores the most wins, and Liverpool plans on just outscoring sides. Will Jurgen Klopp’s side be able to do it?

One thing Liverpool could do to be more defensive is buy Virgil van Dijk, but, after Southampton threatened to sue them for essentially tampering, they backed off. Van Dijk wants out now and officially submitted a transfer request - could the stars align?

Across the island, Manchester United is looking for ways to get back to the top of the Premier League, and one way could be Gareth Bale. As of right now he isn’t available, but, if he is, Jose Mourinho will race to the airport for the Welshman.

Partizan Belgrade, the Serbian champions, will have to play their next two matches in front of an empty stadium after UEFA came down on them for racist fan actions. A fine of $153,000 was issued as well.
