The 104th edition of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup took place last night. Sporting Kansas City won their fourth Open Cup trophy with a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls. They are now tied with the Sounders and the Chicago Fire for most Open Cup trophies by an MLS club.

The North American Soccer League (NASL) filed an antitrust suit against US Soccer Federation because the federated denied their request for second-division professional league sanctioning in 2018.
Not all eight NASL teams voted to sue the US Soccer Federation. We just don’t know who did and who did not.

Josh Sargent had a heck of a 2017 U20 World Cup. He scored four goals in five games and looks to be part of the senior team in the future. We now know what club team he will be playing for, as Sargent is set to join Werder Bremen in 2018.
