Major Link Soccer: SODO group releases all-new Key Arena proposal

The city isn’t interested, so far. The Bundesliga’s first female referee debuts this weekend. Also, would it be good for the US to miss the World Cup?

The SODO arena group (Chris Hansen’s group) has come out with a brand new plan to renovate Key Arena into a venue with multiple stages and theaters, funded with private money, which would potentially help their argument for the SODO plan. However, the Seattle Office of Economic Development is having none of it so far.

Seattle’s bid to host World Cup matches in 2026 is officially submitted, along with 40 other cities in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
