Community Player Ranker 2017

We’re asking you which player had the greatest influence on Seattle’s year.

Max Aquino for Sounder at Heart

One of our favorite community projects is The Rankinator. The project asks you which player most contributed to the Seattle Sounders 2017 season. As a reminder the club finished 2nd in the West, 7th in the Shield race, won the Western Conference trophy in making it to their second straight MLS Cup.

Their 53 points and +13 goal differential were good, but not great. They had the 3rd best defense (by goals against average) and the 10th best offense. Seattle had the 6th best home record and were 11th best on the road.

Sounders fell out of the US Open Cup in the fifth round going 1-1-0 +0 in the tournament. They drew both international friendlies 1-1. The team won the Fair Play Award and the Heritage Cup. Clint Dempsey won the Comeback Player of the Year.

For your assistance the Rankinator includes First Team minutes. It is designed to be used on desktop, many (most?) phones and tablets may not interact with the drag and drop functionality.

Again, the request is to rank players by their influence on the 2017 season.
