We loved seeing three Seattle boys interview each other on a boat

Apparently, Cristian Roldan even claims to have grown up in Rainier Beach.

As you may have noticed, we have a bit of a thing about boats and their connection to the Sounders. So you can imagine how we felt when we saw a trio of our very own interviewing one another on an actual boat. Check out the #RoweBoat video above.

As you surely know by now, both Kelyn Rowe and Jordan Morris are bonafide Seattle-area natives. Rowe grew up in Federal Way and if the Sounders had started their academy one year earlier, surely would have been able to make him a Homegrown Player. Morris, of course, grew up on Mercer Island.

Roldan’s “native son” status is a bit more complicated, which is the source of this video’s best moments. Morris gives Roldan a bit of a hard time for not correcting interviewers when they mistakenly think he’s “from” here. Roldan then jokingly claims that he grew up in Rainier Beach (he actually didn’t move to Seattle from Southern California until he attended University of Washington). In a way though, that’s even more endearing. What better compliment can a region be paid than transplants wanting to claim it as their own?

In any case, it was a joy watching the three Seattle boys hanging out in such an appropriate setting. Sure wouldn’t mind seeing them all in rave green sometime in the near future...
