As the Seattle Sounders take on the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium at 2 PM on Sunday October 21 we are following these storylines;

• Scoreboard watching
  Other results matter almost as much as the Sounders result does. Portland v Salt Lake is on ROOT while Galaxy at Loons is on ESPN. The most important ESPN+ match is Dallas v Sporting KC. If Sounders win today they can be as high as 2nd (Sporting and LAFC must lose). With a loss Seattle could be as low as 5th.
• Who sits?
  With Svensson, Ruidiaz and Lodeiro all back the easy decision would be that Bruin, Bwana and Delem all sit, after strong performances.
• Will Stefan Frei and Chad Marshall finish their year-end awards bids with strength?
  A shutout would help both. Frei may be the leader in the Keeper of the Year vote, while Marshall is competing with Aaron Long, Kemar Lawerence, Michael Parkhurst and Graham Zusi.
