The results of the second-ever vote on the Seattle Sounders General Manager will be announced on Nov. 13 at the Annual Business Meeting, the team announced on Tuesday.
Initial indications are that the vote likely fell just short of the required 40 percent to be officially binding, but regardless, a strong majority of ballots are expected to be in favor of retaining GM Garth Lagerwey. Various polls on Sounder at Heart showed support of Lagerwey around 70 percent among the thousands of votes cast.
Like it was last year, the Annual Business Meeting will be held at The Ninety in Pioneer Square and is open to a limited number of season-ticket holders. Those wishing to attend must RSVP and tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. The event, which allows Sounders fans to get a sort of behind-the-scenes look at the organization and offers the chance to ask front-office personnel questions, will also be live-streamed.
