Preseason is nearly over for Seattle Sounders FC. Thursday’s games are essential in getting the team onto a Thursday cycle with CONCACAF Champions League matches coming. For the most part the lineup against Sacramento Republic will be the the Ideal XI, but not quite. Clint Dempsey, Will Bruin, Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Nouhou all played against Reno. Injuries to Kelvin Leerdam and Osvaldo Alonso will be provided an added test of depth against the NorCal club with MLS ambitions.

Keys to the Game:
- Jordan McCrary at right back. The former TFC II player is expected to be the starter until Leerdam gets healthy.
- Waylon Francis seems to have beaten Nouhou as the starter at left back.
- 4-2-3-1 vs. diamond. This game is expected to feature the Sounders’ more traditional lineup after the earlier game featured the diamond.
- No injuries.
