We are just a few days away from YachtCon | Prime and the details are all finally coming together. Here are some of the latest developments:
The Sounders panel will feature Brian Schmetzer, Garth Lagerwey and likely a player or two. This is the third consecutive year there will be at least one representative from the front office. The segment will be broken into two parts, the first a roundtable and the second a question-and-answer session with fans. Unlike the previous two years, though, we’ll be asking you to submit your questions. You can do this by Tweeting at @NosAudietis and including the hashtag #YachtConPrime or by filling out the question cards at the event.
This panel will feature Beverly Yanez and Yael Averbuch and possibly one other person. The moderator will by Ride of the Valkyries’ Jacob Cristobal. This will be the third year we’ve had representatives from the Reign at this event.
Jeremiah will be interviewing Steve Zakuani in the debut episode of “Between Two Roldans.” Here’s a sneak preview:
Susie Rantz, meanwhile, will be debuting “Riding with Valkyries” by interviewing Reign head coach Vlatko Andonovski. Here’s a sneak preview of that one:
Raffle tickets will be two for $5. We’ll also be giving anyone who buys $50 worth of raffle tickets a free YachtCon | Prime poster designed by @MLSWatercolors. Here’s what that poster will look like:

There will be two contests this year: one for costumes, the other for YNYA-themed two-poles. The costume contest is really a matter of your imagination as we’ll be giving out several different prizes. That could mean wearing your favorite yacht-inspired gear, something else tangentially YNYA-related or even as one of your favorite players. It’s up to you! We’re also encouraging anyone who has ever created a YNYA-themed two-pole to show it off at the event. We know a few of these have flown in ECS over the years and were hoping to get them all gathered in one place.
There will be presentations from the Seattle Children’s Autism Center as well as the Washington Soccer Legends.
