The news about Jordan Morris’ injury could barely have been worse. The 23-year-old forward has torn his ACL and has been ruled out for the year.
But, if there’s a ray of sunshine to be found in all of this, it’s that Morris has already received a hand-written get-well card from you guys.
Very humbled by all the love and support. Thank you all! I'm so sad I won't be out in front of you guys playing right now, but I promise I'll work hard everyday to comeback stronger and get back on the field playing for the team and city I love #SSFC pic.twitter.com/U2BuR99hDJ

There are a lot of times when it’s probably hard being attached to a big fanbase that has such high expectations, and doubly so as a local. It’s stuff like this, though, that reminds me that there’s also something impossibly special about the bond we have with the team and the players. There aren’t a lot of clubs in the world where this sort of thing happens, especially not in this sort of timeframe and not with that kind of recognition.
The road to recovery will not be an easy one for Morris, but I’m sure that at its lowest points it’s things like this that will push him just a little bit harder.
