Sounders vs. Portland Timbers preseason, live stream: Game time, TV schedule and lineups

The Portland Timbers have a new coach and Seattle Sounders first chance to see what he’s done to the team is Saturday night in Tucson at the Mobile Mini Sun Cup event at the Kino Sports Complex in MLS Preseason Presented by adidas (I think that’s the full name and sponsorship involved).

Where Lagerwey and Schmetzer sat fairly pat on a team that is in middle of its championship window, the Timbers are trying to figure out how to re-capture the greatness that has been quite rare for them. Now they do so without Darlington Nagbe and just about every bench option from the midfield. Portland has about a dozen new additions, some which might actually be good.

Seattle won their first preseason game 3-1, over the Club Tijuana U20s. Portland drew San Jose 0-0 in a set of 3 30-minute scrimmages. Timbers only had one player ejected from their match.
