The CCL tifo was absolutely epic

There’s a pretty good chance you missed it... Let’s fix that.

If you were among those who didn’t make it out or were just late arriving to your seats (like so many seemingly were) for Thursday’s CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16 match, chances are you missed the rather epic tifo ECS unveiled (video above).

It features the six major trophies the Seattle Sounders have won during their MLS existence, each represented by a mountain peak. Looming above them all is Mount Rainier with the words “Climb Higher”, urging the team on to its first CCL trophy, as explained by this ECS post.

There’s a certain simple elegance to this display. Yes, it’s huge and of course it’s well designed. But the message is straightforward and simple to understand. No clever pop culture reference needed. Classy.
