Only 21 players available for selection

Between injury, official suspension, and unofficial suspension, the roster remains depleted.

Brian Schmetzer should have a couple of his most important players back when the Seattle Sounders face the Montreal Impact on Saturday night (7 PM, JOEtv). Nicolas Lodeiro is fully healthy. Will Bruin is only listed as questionable, as is Henry Wingo.

But the injury bug is still impacting his choices. Four players are listed as out — Osvaldo Alonso (right quad strain), Kim Kee-Hee (right calf strain), Jordan Morris (right ACL tear), and Victor Rodriguez (right knee sprain).

Clint Dempsey is suspended for his red card in the loss to FC Dallas. He is only serving a single match suspension. Seyi Adekoya remains on an unofficial suspension, away from the team for undisclosed reasons.

A quartet of players played for their national teams over the bye week, with Gustav Svensson and Roman Torres being the most likely to have their freshness impacted. Cristian Roldan barely saw the field. Jordy Delem played on Sunday and therefore is essentially on standard rest, if also on long travel.

Seattle Sounders vs. Montreal Impact kicks off shortly (probably 6-8 minutes) after 7:00 PM PT on Saturday night. It is on JOEtv (Costigan, Keller, Zakuani), KJR (Johnson, Webber) and El Rey 1360 (Rodriguez, Maqueda, Patia). You can also join us in the stands, where you will be heard.
