Sounders versus Chivas de Guadalajara, CONCACAF Champions League 2-leg series: Full coverage

A break in league play means Seattle can focus full resources on a challenging continental opponent.

Thanks to a Clint Dempsey goal the Seattle Sounders hold a 1-nil lead after leg one. That means that with any win and any draw the Sounders would advance to the semifinals. If Chivas de Guadalajara wins by two or more goals they would advance. On any Seattle one-goal loss where they also score they would advance. A 1-nil loss by the Sounders would force kicks from the spot.

The return leg in Guadalajara is on March 14 at 7 p.m.

Alan Pulido is suspended from leg two due to yellow card accumulation.
