Several Sounders-related productions were nominated for Northwest Regional Emmy Awards at events across the region Friday.
Keith Costigan’s work for the Sounders game day presentations is up for the Play by Play category, along with his peers from the Portland Timbers, Portland Trailblazers, Seattle Mariners and ROOT Sports broadcasts.

The Sounders FC broadcast itself, “Seattle Sounders Soccer,” earned the nod in the Sports Event/Game - Live/Unedited group.
KCPQ’s Sounders feature, “Sounders FC: Return of the Champions” is nominated in the One Time Special category.
The club also received recognition for some of its promotional video work in the last year. The pre-playoffs video piece, “Dear Seattle,” made the list for the Sports Feature/Segment award.
The Sounders’ “The Summit Awaits” ads, part of the #DefendOurCup campaign, are up for the Sports Promotion category, with only one other nominee in the running (ROOT Sports’ “Big Sky Football - Traditions”).
Winners will be announced at the Emmy Awards Ceremony Gala on June 9.
