Sounders at New England Revolution: Gamethread with updates

JOEtv is carrying the match at 4:30 PM; watch with us.

MLS: New England Revolution at Seattle Sounders FC Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

I would prefer the Seattle Sounders win and the New England Revolution lose. Seattle can succeed by making a former Sounder try to defend. Anibaba versus Dempsey/Bruin should be a point of joy for the Sounders.

In defense the Sounders need to be tidy in their passing. The Revs press rather high and can create problems quickly.

Absences: Injury, international duty and suspension

Seattle: Svensson is still at the World Cup. Morris and Bwana are still injured. Alonso, Chenkam, Leerdam, and Torres are questionable.

Opponent: They’re just New England

Claude Dielna, Luis Caicedo and Osvaldo Alonso are one card away from suspension. Gabriel Somi, Cristian Roldan and Jordy Delem are two cards away from accumulation.

Nima Saghafi is the center referee. His video assistant is Alan Kelly.

Keys to the Game:

  • Be the Sounderest Sounders of all time
  • Don’t let Bunbury score
  • Force Anibaba to move laterally
