Clint Dempsey’s Seattle Sounders career ended just how it began: with a massive fan-made that was put together an impressively short notice.
The tifo featured Dempsey’s face surrounded by laurels that are meant to evocative of the seal of Texas and was unveiled at the end of a pregame ceremony honoring the American soccer legend.

The tifo was accompanied by a banner honoring ECS tifo crew member Seth Ringling, who recently passed away.
Prior to Dempsey’s official unveiling back in 2013, ECS also made a tifo proclaiming “Keep calm and #DempseyWatch” that played off fans’ attempt to verify his signing.
The ceremony featured a tribute video that included testimonials from former teammates, music legends and fellow Seattle sports luminaries. He also received a Golden Scarf. The full ceremony can be seen here:
