Well, well, well would you look at that. Toronto FC has done the impossible and have knocked off Atlanta United in the Eastern Conference Final to secure their place for the MLS Cup Final. That means that the Seattle Sounders will host their first ever MLS Cup Final at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, November 10th at 12:00pm PT.
It wasn’t easy for TFC. Julian Gressel scored easily on an assist from Pity Martinez in the 4th minute of the match. It looked like Atlanta was going to run away with the game when they won a penalty in the 8th minute. Josef Martinez stepped up to the penalty spot and struck the ball well, but Toronto FC goalkeeper Quentin Westberg read the kick well and was able to make an incredible save. Toronto was able to regain their composure and frustrate Atlanta for the rest of the half.
