Seattle Sounders take on Houston Dynamo down in Tucson Saturday at 5 p.m. The match is the second preseason friendly for the Sounders (7-1 loss to Atlanta) and the fourth preseason match for the Dynamo. The Dynamo beat their USL Championship affiliate twice to open preseason and then had a scoreless draw with Minnesota for their third.
Houston tried to reinvent their defense over the offseason and stayed stable in their first choice attack. Considering their defense and luck were what kept the Dynamo out of the playoffs that was likely a wise move. Alberth Elis was third in the league for xG+xA on the season, and he remains the focal point of the attack.
The defense will be forced to deal with DeMarcus Beasley still playing, as he has since 1837. They have new additions around him from San Lorenzo, Palermo and Dallas.
