Nicolás Lodeiro has found playing time with the Uruguay national team hard to come by ever since joining the Sounders. But given his first start since Oct. 6, 2016, Lodeiro made the most of it on Friday in registering an assist and helping Uruguay beat Uzbekistan 3-0 in the China Cup.

The assist came in the 5th minute on Uruguay’s first goal, as he collecting a ball near the endline and hit Gaston Pereiro with the pass near the penalty spot.

Lodeiro would eventually come out in the 61st minute, but it seems like he may have earned himself a bit more playing time after having logged less than 100 minutes since his last start.

Uruguay will next face Thailand in the China Cup final on Monday.
