Cristian Roldan is up for Goal of the Week

You know what to do.

MLS: Seattle Sounders FC at Minnesota United FC Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

While the result of the match wasn’t ideal, Sounders fans can take some pride in knowing they can help the Sounders and Cristian Roldan win something this week. That’s right, Roldan is up for MLS Goal of the Week for his wonderstrike against Minnesota United.

In the 42nd minute, the Sounders pushed up the left side of the pitch, as they do. Brad Smith crossed the ball into the box but it was to be headed away by a Loons defender. Another frustrating offensive possession ended in frustration, but wait, there’s Roldan to pick the ball up from 30 yards out and blasts the ball into the net.

It’s no surprise that this beautiful goal is up for goal of the week. Make sure you do the sensible thing and vote for Roldan here.

Roldan was also named to the MLS Team of the Week second team, which is not quite as cool but still pretty nice.
