It’s the first match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals, as Reign FC’s Jodie Taylor and England face off against Norway. The match kicks off at 12 PM PT on FOX.

England finished at the top of their group, but they didn’t show their best in the Round of 16 match against Cameroon. And I’m not talking about the talking points that emerged after the match in reaction to Cameroon’s on-field protests about refereeing decisions. I’m talking about their play on the field — which felt uninspired and disjointed.

Jodie Taylor isn’t likely to start against Norway, but she has already notched a goal for England this tournament. Her only start led to the lone goal for the Lionesses against Argentina. Nikita Parris and Ellen White will likely be who Phil Neville calls upon to lead the attack.

The Lionesses should be tested defensively against a Norway team that has impressed throughout the World Cup — beating teams like Australia and Nigeria and keeping France close during the Group Stage.

One of the many players who have impressed for Norway is Caroline Graham Hansen. The 24-year-old missed last tournament due to injury and has been active in France. She converted Norway’s first penalty against Australia but will be challenged against Lucy Bronze. If Hansen is stifled, Norway will look for Isabell Herslovsen, who already has two goals this tournament.
