Italy has been the surprise of the tournament, relying on consistent defense to make it to the final eight.

Germany has coasted through this tournament and have done so without their playmaker Dzsenifer Marozsán, who broke her toe but looks to be ready to go for the quarterfinal clash against Sweden. Sweden took down Canada to get to today’s match.
