The Women’s World Cup is upon us and on this episode, Miki Turner discusses the tournament with Meg Linehan, a writer at The Athletic. They touch a bit on her background at the NWSL before moving to The Athletic full-time to cover women’s soccer. Meg will be in France covering the Women’s World cup and while she’ll mainly focused on the U.S. Women, but she’ll writing other interesting stories on the tournament as well. They talk about the monster Women’s World Cup primer she write for The Athletic, and preview the tournament.

They also talk about some off-field issues, including the equal pay, the Women’s National Team lawsuit and Hope Solo’s crusade against the Federation.
