Over the last two months, the Seattle Sounders solicited votes to determine their best XI players in club history. There were a total of 138 players to be selected from, and voters had to whittle that list down to a functioning XI players, consisting of 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 3 forwards. There were four contingents of voters, each with 25% of the total vote: Fans, Media, Club Stakeholders, and Alliance Council. Thus, the final vote was tallied and this was the XI that was selected:

Now, if you remember from a couple weeks ago, the fine staff here at Sounder at Heart put together our own Best XI. There are two differences between the XIs. The Sounder at Heart XI has Leo Gonzalez over Zach Scott in the defense. The other difference is that assist maestro Mauro Rosales was nudged out of the Sounders starting XI for former captain Brad Evans.
What do you think of this lineup?
