Coffee & Valkyries, Episode 9: Michelle Betos

The one with Michelle Betos!

Reign FC are back from the bye week and so is “Coffee & Valkyries”!

Susie has returned from her trip to France, where she witnessed the United States Women’s National Team repeat as World Cup champions and she talks about the trip.

We recap the moves the club made during the bye week that resulted in bringing in players Sammy Jo Prudhomme, Rebecca Quinn, Schuyler DeBree, and Rosie White as the club enters the second half of the season.

And what a way to kick off the second half with a historic match on Sunday, hosting the Chicago Red Stars in front of what’s expected to be a record-breaking home crowd of over 7,000 fans!

Goalkeeper Michelle Betos returns to the podcast to give everyone an update on her road to recovery from her ruptured Achilles injury, sustained back in May. Betos also shares her thoughts on the state of the team at the halfway mark of the season, the recently completed World Cup, how it can elevate the NWSL, and like all previous Reign FC players appearing on the podcast, we find out where she stands on pineapple on pizza.

We’re happy to have Betos back on the podcast and reiterate our best wishes on her road to recovery and eventual return to the pitch.
