Scouting Report: Zlatan and the Galaxy

Zlatan’s 18 goals account for more than 50% of all goals for LA

MLS: Seattle Sounders at Los Angeles Galaxy Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

What You’ll Watch

The Seattle Sounders are on their second road trip of the week after failing to take home any points in their loss midweek to Real Salt Lake in Sandy, Utah. On Saturday evening, the Sounders will travel to Carson, California to take on the Fighting Zlatans—erm—I mean the LA Galaxy for the first time this season. This might be the first time this year that these teams will face off, but have no fear because they’ll face off again on Sept. 1.

The Galaxy also played midweek, beating FC Dallas 2-0 thanks to a brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic himself. That win moved them into 3rd place in the Western Conference with 40 points (13-11-1). They sit two positions ahead of Seattle in the standings.
