Nicolas Lodeiro’s son is an almost ubiquitous part of the Seattle Sounders gameday experience, often entering the field with his dad and hanging out in the postgame locker room. So it should probably come as little surprise that Alejandro is the inspiration for Lodeiro’s butt-slapping celebration that followed his MLS Goal of the Week from Sunday.
Last night, Nicolas Lodeiro told me this peculiar celebration was inspired by his son.

"I did it for my son. At home he is always doing that same dance so I told him I'd do it during a game. Therefore, after celebrating with the guys I decided to do it".
You have to love Nico. https://t.co/tcPhOFDTH8
There are plenty of reasons to love Lodeiro for his on-field contributions, but every time I see something like this it makes me appreciate him even more. Keep ‘em coming Leandro.
