If you’re a regular reader of Sounder at Heart or listener of Nos Audietis, you are hopefully aware of a little event we’ve been putting on since 2015. What started with a kinda informal live podcast event in the Full Pull Wines warehouse has blossomed into a full-blown social gathering that has raised nearly $20,000 over the years for Seattle Children’s Hospital. This year, we’re setting the admittedly bold goal of raising $10,000.
YachtConV: Homecoming will represent our biggest step forward. Like previous events, we’ll have interviews with luminaries of the Seattle soccer community, a charity auction, a photo booth and all sorts of other surprises.
While the previous four were all held in spaces we had to sort of fit into, this year we’re moving into a proper event space with the hope of making this the best one yet. We’ve rented out Hale’s Palladium for the night which will allow us to arrange seating in a way that makes the most sense and take ownership of the space in a way that we never have before.
The other significant change to this year’s event is how we’re selling tickets.
- The base general admission ticket is $20 and includes a concession voucher that is good for one alcoholic drink OR one non-alcoholic drink AND one food item. While you won’t be guaranteed a specific seat, there will be enough chairs so that everyone who attends will be guaranteed a spot.
- The Reserved Table option is effectively $160, but due to the ticketing software are being sold as four separate seats. You’ll get four admissions; four concession vouchers; we’ll put a reserved sign on your table that lists all the guests’ names; and we’ll include four swag bags with all sorts of goodies.
- The Ultimate VIP experience is effectively $400, but is also being sold as four separate seats. There’s only one of these currently available (although we are planning to auction off one more package later) and it will include all the same stuff as the Reserved Table option PLUS access to the green room; a catered dinner by El Camion; our deepest appreciation; and opportunities to schmooze with the show’s guests.

The concession stand in the theater is somewhat limited, but you are also welcome to bring in food from the on-site El Camion.
For those wondering these are the concession options at YachtConV: Homecoming. There’s also El Camion on site. pic.twitter.com/2CWptM6dXD— Nos Audietis (@NosAudietis) January 24, 2020
We’re still finalizing a lot of the details, but we always do our best to put together a run of show that’s better than the year before. Previous guests include Sounders majority owner Adrian Hanauer, Reign FC CEO Bill Predmore, Sounders GM Garth Lagerwey, Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer, Sounders broadcaster Steve Zakuani and players like Will Bruin, Stefan Frei, Cristian Roldan, Bev Yanez and Megan Oyster.
For the first time ever, SB Nation will be helping us cover our costs and as a result we’ve set an aggressive fundraising goal of $10,000. While most of that money will be raised through tickets sales and the silent auction, you can also give directly here.
