Sounders kit leak effectively confirmed

Nouhou posted video of the promo shoot on Snapchat.

UPDATE: Not that there was really any doubt at this point, but Nouhou effectively confirmed these leaks on Monday night via his Snapchat. This is the first time we’ve seen the full kit put together, but the shorts and socks pretty much fit what the Sounders have traditionally worn. The other notable element of this leak is the placement of the second star, which is awkwardly placed above the seem on the shoulder.

For those worried Nouhou might get into trouble by posting this, you’ll note this seemingly playful response to our tweet.

After a couple of rumored photoshops that have been floating around for a few weeks, we finally have a concrete leak of the new Seattle Sounders’ primary kit for the 2020 MLS season. It looks like a website/twitter account Todo Sobre Camisetas (@EleteTSC) got ahold of all the new MLS kits for this season. The tweet they sent out that features the Sounders’ kit also includes San Jose’s kit. Pay no attention to their weird yellow. You can click through to see all the leaks.

The design is broadly what people expected it to be. The photoshops were mostly correct, but of course they look a bit better as the real thing than in a mock-up. There are a couple of nice design accents on the new kit: There’s a Washington state silhouette jock tag on the bottom of the jersey. On the back of the jersey, just below the neck, you can find a Doug flag, which represents Cascadia.

One more thing — this jersey appears to be a replica kit, so some more details might come out when we see the authentic version, such as the second star.
