MLS: Seattle Sounders FC at Los Angeles FC Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

FT: I’ll be the first one to say that I just didn’t see this result coming. Some bad bounces and clinical finishing from LAFC means they steal all 3 points while being severely short handed coming into this one. Seattle had their chances but couldn’t put them to bed. Oh well, I guess.

86’: Welp. That’s the dagger.

77’: Pick that out, Nico.

65’: Just one of those games, I guess.

58’: COME ON

Halftime: What a frustrating first half from the Sounders. LAFC is already weakened with their lineup, and then they have to use 2 first half subs. LAFC go up because of a great freekick and the Sounders have wasted their chances.

A more clinical second half is needed.

15’: Welp. That’s not how you defend a free kick.

13’: Andy Najar came on for the injured Kaye, and now he’s being subbed off due to injury.

5’: Mark-Anthony Kaye is being carried to the locker room after this injury.

Lineups: The Sounders are playing their third match this week but aren’t rotating a bunch. The only change from their win over Real Salt Lake is Brad Smith starting at leftback over Nouhou.

LAFC’s lineup is very grim. They’re without a lot of starters.

The Seattle Sounders make the trek to the City of Angels to take on LAFC. The last time the Sounders played LAFC in LA was pretty neat. They clinched their ticket to the 2019 MLS Cup Final with a 3-1 victory over the 2019 Supporters Shield winners. Currently, the Sounders are on a 3 game winning streak, while also winning 5 of their last 6.

LAFC has looked a bit like a ship without a captain, due to injuries and a shaky backline. They’re without their MVP, Carlos Vela, along with Brian Rodriguez and Diego Rossi because of international duty.
