Full-time: There’s no excuse to lose to the LA Galaxy in 2020 and it took 93 minutes for the Sounders make sure that didn’t happen. The team looked lackluster all night, but Raul Ruidiaz is the business and is always dangerous. What a dumb game, but it’s great that the Sounders got a point.

77’: Chicharito scored. You’re reading that correctly. His SECOND goal of the season.
Nice goal, tho. pic.twitter.com/5S43W2HRFP

HALF: Not a lot happened in the first half. The Sounders best chance was a penalty shout that was denied by the referee. Dobbelaere shot from outside the area and the ball appeared to hit Daniel Steres’ hand, except the referee waved it off apparently because it was ball to hand.
Alex Roldan, who is starting at RB instead of Kelvin Leerdam, cleared the ball off the lie heroically with his head. The Galaxy have been stingy and Seattle haven’t done much to break them down.
LINEUPS: We finally get to see some actual squad rotation from the Sounders. Ethan Dobbelaere gets his first MLS start while Brian Schmetzer makes five changes from their 3-1 loss to Colorado. Joevin Jones is back in the starting lineup since his injury against Portland. This should be exciting.
The Seattle Sounders travel to Carson, CA tonight to take on the LA Galaxy. While the Sounders haven’t had the best form lately, the Galaxy have been downright awful, losing 8 of their last 10, including a 3-1 loss to the Sounders in late September. These results led to head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto being fired last week. MLS mainstay Dom Kinnear has taken over the club on an interim basis.
The Sounders are coming off of a 3-1 surprise loss to the Colorado Rapids over the weekend. They will need to win this match and the one on Sunday if they have any hope for finishing first in the Western Conference.
