FINAL: The Sounders are advancing to their 4th Western Conference Final in 5 years after beating FC Dallas 1-0. It was probably closer than it needed to be but we know that Seattle can win tough games. All eyes on Thursday night to see who the Sounders play.

Sounders 1, FC Dallas 0: Seattle opens the scoring off a Shane O’Neill header!

HALFTIME: Perhaps the scoreline is a bit misleading considering how fun this match actually has been. Seattle’s had a healthy chunk of the ball and has taken nine shots in the first half. The Sounders are in a good position to push on in the second half.

The Seattle Sounders are at the business end of the MLS Playoffs yet again as they face off against a familiar foe in FC Dallas this evening. The Sounders are coming off a convincing 3-1 victory over LAFC in Round One of the playoffs. FC Dallas picked up a surprise win over the Portland Timbers, advancing on penalty kicks.

If history has taught us anything, it’s that this matchup could be a barn burner. These two teams met in the first round of the playoffs in 2019 and that game ended 4-3 in added time. It’s also the fifth time they’ve met in the playoffs since 2014, with no more than two goals ever separating the two teams in any of those meetings. We’re going to continue our liveblog for this one, so please follow along below!
