Megan Rapinoe is a role model for so many people for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that she’s an amazing soccer player. But she’s also an inspiration because of her life ethos that focuses on equality. BreakingT’s latest collaboration with the USWNT Players Association celebrates that.

“Your are not lesser just because you are a girl” is taken from an interview Rapinoe did following a match in the SheBelieves Cup that was aimed directly at U.S. Soccer, with whom the players association is locked in a lawsuit.

“I just want to say, it’s all false,” Rapinoe said. “To every girl out there, to every boy out there, who watches this team, who wants to be on this team or just wants to live their dream out, you are not lesser just because you’re a girl. You are not better just because you’re a boy.”
