MLS is now in the position of shaping the future of youth development in the US.

MLS is in the process of deciding what the replacement for the Development Academy system will look like. What teams will be involved? How can they play more meaningful games against international opponents? Can they form some sort of partnership with Liga MX? Only time will tell, but they can’t exactly afford to waste time.
