Getting to know the guy who owns every Sounders jersey

Outside of possibly team employees, there probably isn’t a person in the world with a more impressive collection of Seattle Sounders jerseys than Jerry Neil (@SSFCFOTY15). The Sounders Alliance member owns at least one of all 17 jerseys the Sounders have worn during their MLS existence, but that’s only a fraction of his collection. Neil estimates that he has 69 different Sounders jerseys — including many of the goalkeeper kits, the various Parley jerseys they’ve worn and numerous ones from the USL era. Neil’s closet is packed tight with more than 130 jerseys from around the world.

In addition to owning a ton of jerseys, Neil has also participated in helping design some of the club’s recent designs. While he admits those have been a bit hit and miss, he did express some optimism for jerseys that will be released in the coming years.
