Sounders announce ticketing plans for remainder of 2020

Along with unveiling plans to return to play next month, MLS also made official that it is the league’s intention to resume the 2020 regular season at some point, and left open the possibility that those games could be played with fans in attendance. At the same time, the Seattle Sounders also announced ticketing options for the remainder of the season as well as some perks for those who choose to renew in 2021.

According to an email sent to season-ticket holders on Wednesday, there are three options that range from a complete refund to immediately rolling over this year’s tickets to next year:

OPTION 1: EARLY 2021 ALLIANCE MEMBER RENEWAL

Apply all my existing 2020 credit to 2021 right now, regardless of future match cancellations or rescheduling. There are too many unknowns in 2020, but I’m in for 2021. (No additional payments will be scheduled until January 2021.) Full offer details.

OPTION 2: ROLLING 2020 ALLIANCE MEMBER CREDIT

Let’s see where 2020 takes us. As home matches are officially cancelled, credit my account for future use against Sounders matches, including 2021 renewals and 2020 playoffs (fingers crossed). Full offer details.

OPTION 3: 2020 ALLIANCE MEMBER REFUND

I’d like to request a refund to my card as home match cancellations are officially announced. Full offer details.

For fans who select options 1 or 2, the team is offering several perks.

• 2021 Flat Pricing: For each seat you renew in 2021, you will pay the same price per match per seat as you did for the 2020 season.
• 2019 MLS Cup Ring: For each seat you renew in 2021, you receive one (1) 2019 MLS Cup Championship Replica ring.
• Frontline Ticket Donation: For each seat you renew for the 2021 season, Sounders FC will donate one ticket to a frontline worker for a match during the 2021 season.
