FULL TIME: You can’t really ask for much better than that. The Seattle Sounders cruise too a 3-1 victory over the LA Galaxy thanks to a brace from Cristian Roldan, and a sweet goal from Jordan Morris. We thought that Seattle would get the clean sheet until LA managed to score late. Still, a very heartening performance from the boys in Rave Green.
That’s the sixth multiple goal win in the last 9 matches. This team is absolutely flying, and deserves all our praise.
88’: The Galaxy get one back.

61’: We’re going to have to decide which assist was the best from tonight, but not right now. Just enjoy what João Paulo and Cristian Roldan have done.
Great ball from João Paulo. Great finish from Crisitian. pic.twitter.com/FxV94j3xSS

HALFTIME: The Sounders are in cruise control at the moment, up 2-0 at the half. The Galaxy aren’t offering much at all going forward and the Sounders seem to have all the answers for what the Galaxy are throwing at them. Jordan Morris continues to his stellar form with a goal and assist in the first half.
38’: This pass from Nicolas Lodeiro is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
This ball from Nico Lodeiro is very potent. Good finish, too. pic.twitter.com/xQvLGaGrhI

13’: A great team goal. Morris makes a great run and Roldan finishes it strongly.

Lineups: No lineup surprises from the Sounders, aside from the changes that we knew were coming. Gustav Svensson is in for Joevin Jones and Will Bruin starts at forward with Raul Ruidiaz suspended.
The Seattle Sounders’ quest for MLS dominance continues tonight against the LA Galaxy in Carson, Calif. These two teams haven’t played each other yet this season, which is a refreshing change of pace given the insanity of the MLS regular season this year. Both teams are coming off losses on Wednesday night. The Galaxy lost 2-0 to Real Salt Lake and the Sounders lost to Portland.
Things we’d like to see
Back to basics: It feels sort of stupid to say that one of the things we’d like to see is the Sounders win the game, but if the Sounders want to keep their top spot in the West, they need to win this game. The performance against Portland wasn’t bad per se, but frustrating. It’s not ideal to resort to spamming crosses into the box. Seattle needs to get back to what they do best.
Run right by him: Daniel Steres is still a starter for the Galaxy. Jordan Morris is in the best form of his life. It’s simple — we’d like to see Jordan Morris score a goal. At least once. Preferably multiple times.
Will Bruin SZN: Raul Ruidiaz is suspended for this match because the MLS Disciplinary Committee found that he kicked out at a Portland defender. Insert the dancing bear into the lineup. His hold-up play and passing should have the aforementioned Jordan Morris salivating.
