UPDATE: It’s still expected to go through, but DeAndre Yedlin’s move to Galatasaray apparently hit some snags and required some last-minute details to be worked out according to CBS’s Roger Gonzalez.
Yedlin's move to Galatasaray from Newcastle hit a couple very small speed bumps this morning with both parties working through some specifics. Still waiting on completion, but it is headed in the right direction, according to sources.

With rumors circling all week that a move was imminent, ESPN is now reporting that DeAndre Yedlin has completed his move to Turkish giants Galatasaray. Newcastle has apparently agreed to release Yedlin from the final six months of his contract immediately, clearing the way for him to travel to Turkey and sign a 3.5-year deal.
Yedlin’s preference was reportedly to remain with Newcastle, where he’d spent the last five seasons and seen progressively less playing time. This year, Yedlin started the season on the bench, only making his first Premier League appearance in December. But after breaking into the lineup, Yedlin took hold of the opportunity and had started six straight league matches before a visa snafu forced him to miss the last few games.
Galatasary currently sit third in the Süper Lig, three points behind first-place Fenerbahce and two behind second-place Besiktas. The top two teams from Turkey qualify for Champions League, with the third- and fourth-place teams going to Europa League. Yedlin has not yet played in a European competition and could become the first Washingtonian to play in Champions League.
