Four Sounders among the 10 best-selling MLS jerseys

Sounders lead the league with four players in the top-25.

MLS Digital

No one in MLS sells jerseys like the Seattle Sounders sell jerseys. MLS has released their list of the 25 best-selling jerseys in the league and, while we have absolutely no idea how many jerseys any of these players sold, Seattle lead the league with four players on the list — all of them are in the top-10, to make their superiority even more stark.

Atlanta United’s Josef Martinez tops the list at No. 1, but the Sounders’ contingent starts just behind him with Raúl Ruidíaz in the No. 2 spot. Nico Lodeiro and Cristian Roldan are the next Sounders on the list at Nos. 5 and 6, followed by Fredy Montero at No. 8. This isn’t the first time that the Sounders have led the league in players on the list, and it’s not even the first time they’ve done so with four players. Seattle have had the most players on the list in five of the last six seasons, and have had four players included previously in both 2019 and 2020.

Austin FC and LA Galaxy were both just behind Seattle with three players on the list. The Galaxy’s trio — Chicharito (third), Jonathan dos Santos (ninth) and Sebastian Lletget (10th) — and Atlanta United’s pair of Martinez and Miles Robinson were the only other teams to have multiple players in the top-10.

The list was compiled using info of all MLS jerseys sold on MLSstore.com since the start of 2021. While we don’t know the exact details or sales figure, it’s certainly evidence of the club’s continued popularity.
